Laundry Made Even Cleaner!

This is the Way We Wash Our Clothes—

Doing laundry is not most people’s idea of a good time—though some do take pleasure in transforming a mountain of dirty laundry into neatly folded piles of fresh clothing and linens. No matter how you feel about doing the laundry, if you’re looking for ways to reduce your environmental impact, we have some great ideas for you.

Meghan Elizabeth Pottery

MeganElizabeth09

Meg Lunos came in a little while ago with her new (and BLUE) pottery. Besides her lovely, functional bowls and mugs, she brought us some beautiful European style butter bells (you put the butter in a little well in the lid and water in the bottom half—it keeps your room-temperature butter sealed away from the air and fresh).

We’ll admit—we’re biased towards Meg Lunos’s graphically sophisticated and highly functional mugs, bowls and trays. Before Meg started Meghan Elizabeth Pottery, she once worked at Linden Hills Co-op as part of our customer service team!

At long last Luminarc storage glasses and bowls have returned! These 14oz and 21oz glasses, and 9” bowls with safe plastic lids are microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe. They work great for storing nut butters and beans in your cupboard, leftovers in your fridge, jams and sauces in your freezer or anything else you need to keep on hand!

Pomaireware Pottery

Prepare to be “cuted out”! If you think the frog above is adorable, visit Natural Home to see our whimsical pig-shaped casserole dish. We love this handcrafted, Fair Trade Federation certified, pottery from Pomaire, Chile. Pomaireware is leadfree, oven safe up to 450F and microwave safe. They can even be used on the stovetop!

The dark color of the pieces is created by adding twigs to the ovens during the firing process. Pomaireware will provide years of service in your kitchen and dining room.
