Tell Minnesota candidates: Support my right to know what’s in my food!
We have a right to know what’s in our food. In poll after poll, public support for labeling GMOs tops 90 percent.
GMOs are linked to health problems. Animal studies have linked genetically engineered (GE) foods to allergies, cancers, immune system disorders and infertility.
GMOs pose serious environmental hazards such as the rise of herbicide- and pesticide-resistant “superweeds” and “superbugs”—which necessitate the use of stronger chemicals to control them.
GMOs are uncontrollable. Farmers who don’t want to grow GMOs find their fields contaminated by GMO pollen. Fifty other nations require labeling; for instance, Russia, China and all Eurozone countries require GE food labeling.
The biotech and processed-food industries are spending over $25 million to stop labeling in the United states, so it’s crucial that Minnesota legislators and candidates hear from YOU! Find your representatives at the link below:

Right to Know Minnesota is a campaign started in 2011 by concerned citizens to require labeling of genetically engineered foods, or GMOs, in Minnesota. We are bringing together farmers, health advocates, families and others who support healthful foods.
